Spring Openings and Cleanouts

Clean. Clear. Ready for Spring!

A spring cleanout gives your pond a fresh start for the season. Over winter, leaves, debris, and fish waste settle on the bottom and begin fueling algae growth as temperatures rise. A full drain and clean removes this buildup, restores water clarity, and protects fish health. We also restart and inspect pumps, filters, UV clarifiers, aerators, and plumbing to ensure everything is functioning properly before peak season. Early vegetation control and trimming prevent plants from taking over as the weather warms. With a thorough spring cleanout, your pond looks better, runs more efficiently, and is set up for a healthier, low-maintenance season that you can enjoy!

Spring pond opening

Winter Ready Ponds.

A fall closing protects your pond and equipment through the harsh winter months. As leaves and debris begin to accumulate, removing them early prevents excess organics and harmful gases from building up under the ice. Pumps, filters, and UV systems are properly shut down, cleaned, and winterized to extend their lifespan and avoid damage when temperatures drop. Netting or protective barriers can be installed to keep leaves out, while aeration and de-icing solutions are set to maintain a safe opening in the ice for fish. With a thorough fall closing, your pond enters winter clean, protected, and ready to come back strong in the spring.
